Teen Brings Loaded Gun To School In Maryland

A 17-year-old student faces weapons charges for bringing a gun to school Monday, July 10, in Prince George's County, authorities said.

The student brought the loaded weapon onto school property at Central High School in Capitol Heights, Prince George's County police said.

The assigned School Resource Officers recovered the gun from the student’s waistband after being alerted by Prince George’s County Schools security personnel that the student was possibly armed.

The student will be charged as an adult with handgun on person, dangerous weapon on school property, loaded handgun on person and more offenses.
